Yes they do have a centre diff lock which is found on the low-range lever, just push it across towards the passenger side:)
No LSD though.

Hi, D Sim
there should be a placard (sticker) in front of the lever showing positions .....
the high/low range lever can be pushed left in any of the three (high, low or neutral) positions....
you can engage low/high or leave it in neutral while the lever is to the left
an orange difflock light will illuminate on the dash (if the light is working)
to disengage the cdl move the lever to the right... the engagement indicating light may not go off straighht away.... try stoppping and backing up a bit if it remains on to allow the difflock to disengage
hope this helps - Laurie

No the CDL engages the Centre Diff - hence Centre Diff Lock or CDL;)
This allows the differential action of all wheel drive which splits the power about 60/40 between the rear and front drives to be locked and sent equally to front and rear diffs as required for 4 wheel drive.
The front and rear diffs are just standard.
You can engage Hi or Low without locking the centre diff, but when traction is being compromised it is best to lock it.

Umm no.
It only locks out the centre differential.

not quite simon, cdl (centre diff lock), locks the centre diff (located to be between the front & rear driveshafts).....
the cdl doesn't change anything on the front & rear diffs (which remain unlocked (referred to as open))........
your 4wd system (unlocked) needs a centre diff to allow for differing rates of axle rotation (front to rear).......
locking the centre diff (cdl) is done to assist traction when either the front or rear diffs would be losing it.....
there are aftermarket "lockers" which can be fitted to enable front &/or rear diffs to be "locked", but are not really necessary for normal "off-road" conditions

it's best not to engage cdl on sealed roads

Hi Simon,
Have you got the Rave CD?
It has the Owners Manual on it as well as the workshop manuals etc.
The owners manual has a pretty clear section on CDL.
IMO definitely worth getting hold of if you haven't already got it.
