The trout are dying

Due to the recent hot weather and no rain, the trout in the Howqua river are dying.

Apparently the trout can't handle the water temp over 23 degrees.

The weather forecast for the next few days will be hot also

Trout provide a sports fishery and places like Tasmania are world renowed for their cobalt blue sky and sandy bottom lakes that provide great sight fishing with the fly rod. So I don't totally agree with the desire to have the trout fishery eradicated. Carp! well They are a different proposition as they are very destructive of the habitat unlike trout.

As long as fish can co-exist with the natives I don't have an issue with them. I am not a fisheries expert so I am not sure if trout compete to the extent that they eradicate native species.

But I do agree with your statement about "The more ferals that are killed off the better" but when it applies to the two legged variety:wasntme:
