I recieved an email from a friend (non-bloke) who just drove from Innisfail to Babinda, through very heavy rain. A bit south of Mirriwinni there is some rain forrest, as she was driving through this section she heard a thump then couldn't see through the windscreen. Being a bright lass she stopped, wound down the window and re-oriented herself and drove into Mirriwinni with her head out of the window. She stopped in the village to check the windscreen, then completed the last 6 odd km with her head still out of the window. Upon her arrival, at home she e-mails me, "What's wrong with my car". In my reply I attempt to establish

Is it safety glass and is it shattered.
Are the wipers still going back & forth.
Are the wipers contacting the glass
After 6 e-mails (each way) I've only been able to discover that the winscreen is not broken.
I'm so glad she only went to Innisfail for tea and not a $150 hair-do :D

I have now established from her that it is snowing in Italy. Nothing more on the wipers :(

Getting somewhere now, the wipers are moving, the 'screen is leaking (no it is a Camry, not a Landy)

That narrows it down to:

The wipers are not in contact with the glass.
Internal wipers need to be fitted.
Should have this sorted by next wet season

Ah, that'd be the drop bears.

I think it's something do with their wet-season diet.

Very messy.

It was the spring, or rather lack of, that was the problem.
Always a challenge having girls describe automotive symptoms, or am I an old sexist?

I think she used to be, but she's greyish now.:D
She is a good sport I must add, I'm keeping her up to date on this post and she's still talking to me, chuckling even.

PS She is a nurse :p

If shes a nurse I suggest one day you repay her by saying:

I was walking along today and suddenly had a sharp pain. Im not sure where the pain is, it comming from my body somewhere, I think it may be somewhere below my neck... can you see what it is :p
