Hi,
not sure if I should be worried about it or not..
after driving and when switching off the engine the fuel pump (think it is the fuel pump) whines down for a few seconds.. is this normal?
where is it located... on the chassis by the rh rear tyre?
thanks in adv.

Hopefully it's not your fuel pump. I haven't come across one doing that.

I'd say it's your centrifugal oil filter. Normal operation.
You get worried if you fit a non-genuine filter & it DOESN'T do it.

Centrifugal oil filter.

When you turn on your ignition, listen to the fuel pump noise at the RHR wheel - that's the only noise you should hear from your fuel pump.

Next time you stop, jump out, switch off and listen at the RHR wheel - you probably won't hear any whirring noise and that shoud confirm that it's not your fuel pump.
