Hi all,

I have a vibration that I can feel/ hear through the car whilst stopped.

The vibration/sound only occurs once the car is up to operating temperature, in gear with the air conditioning on, and as such is usually felt at traffic lights.

If I am to place the car into neutral, turn the air conditioning off or increase revs the vibration/sound stops.

I have had other people sit in the car when at home and had a good look and listen and it has me completely stumped, I am hoping somebody can steer me in the right direction, as to what the problem may be.

Cheers

Pat

If you have an air sprung D2, then it could be the air compressor. I get the same thing sometimes in the Classic when there is a lot of electrical load and the compressor rattles as its not getting enough power with two thermos running and the voltage drop that comes with heat in copper wire. Take it just above idle and the alternator output increases enough for it to stop.

The only other thing may be a loose flex plate or convertor if its an auto or maybe worn engine mounts.

Cheers

Andrew

Cheers Andrew I will look into the points you raised.

The car is an auto and is coil sprung so I guess I can rule out the air compressor.
