LOL... :D
Well... You've ordered one with all the best bits. ;) Is it Man or Auto??
At least you've got time to pull all the bits off or is the car going with them on??

Colour?
What about tyres, are they're any options other than the wranglers?
I'll ask but don't expect you to answer......how much and what was the trade-in value?

I would take a guess at auto. In Australia manual transmission was an option on S spec with coil springs. We now can't get coil springs so I guess we can't get manuals either.

Ah... OK. We can get manual in any spec, even HSE!!! IMO - The auto is the one to go for anyway.

Yes Mark it will be an auto, swapping my good bits over.
Gordon, most definitely the winch comes with me and will be fitted to the new one as soon as I get a winch mount
Colour is Atacama Sand with almond interior
Pedro will get pics when I get it, about 2 weeks.
Got to start stripping parts now before I run out of time

Hi Richard,
So did the dealer commit to a trade in with the D3 modified or are you selling the D3 privately stripped of your modifications?
I'm interested to know because at some time in the future I'll replace the D3 with another one but I want to transfer the good bits however I thought I'd strip these off before going to the dealer to do a deal.

I havent gone to the dealer yet......for two reasons
First i cant stand the crap they go on with
Secondly, theres a good chance i will order one,and i dont really need one yet.also if SWMBO comes with me,she will definitely want one,& we will come home with one ordered.
Anyway, good luck you will certainly be happy with it:)

It is part of the deal, they only had a cursory look at it, I told them it would be minus the winch, my new tyres (they will swap them over), the Bi-Xenons ( the S doesn't have them mine was an optioned up demo S) and the roof rail inserts. The only things I will need to replace will be the front bar and the RWC because of body alterations/ holes in fitting them.
Probably be a good idea to strip yours off though because it depends on the dealer.

Chris,
I dont think the ARB bar will fit the 09my's.
Had ARB look at their new 09my last week & i asked if the bar is the same....There answer was NO!
Apparantly ARB are making changes to the bar to suit the 09my only.
p.s I am dubious on this as they said the same thing to me when i asked if the Sahara Bar would fit an early D2, There answer again was No, but stangley enough it fitted to my D2 very nicley.....

Congrats Richard,
Should be a little fun playing the game again of swapping & fitting what u require.

Hey Pete,
That's interesing news about the BB. I wonder if ARB stores have to order BB's based on MY of D3. It's something I would check nearer the time I come to trade the D3.
I can always sell off the BB from the D3 and buy another one - I'm sure there will be others out there willing to buy a s/hand bar for their 05 D3.
