auto trans Td5

I changed my transmission fluid on the weekend and it was as brown as I have ever seen in a tranny and stink must have been there a long time,
I only changed the oil not the filter

any how I am convinced that the auto is slipping so looks as I need a recon auto.

Can any one recomend a good auto transmission specilast in Perth.

If any one has had to purchase a recon tranny could you please give me a rough cost

For my rebuilt it was
9 months
$1000 plus oil at mates rates. Everything was at cost and no labour charges but it meant my rig sat for 9 months doing nothing.

I can tell you who not to use

I have used two clowns here in Perth and was duded by both

One would not give my money back so I took them to the small claims tribunal and got some money out of them.

The other just did a crap job that caused me lots of problems and most likey was the cause for the end of my Trans

In my opinion take it to somewhere like Rover Tech. Get them to source take the box out and have it repaired. That way if it breaks down you can go through them to chase up any issues
