Well i dont know where to start? Basically went into work today as normal, did a hard days work, giving 110% as usual and for what!!!!! To get told that i have till friday to find another job!!!
I've been fitting 4x4 accessories for 6months now, coming from a panel beating background and fitting cars since i was 16 i thought i'd might be pretty good at it. But from what this ****wit said today
"your the best fitter we have ever had BUT your too slow" it dont make any sence. Well if i dont find anything within a week we might as well back our stuff and leave our unit cause we just cant afford it. the thing is all this started when i pretty much stood up for myself towards a snotty, smart**** little ****:2up: who thought by licking the managers **** he could get away with anything. I DONT THINK SO!!!!!!!!!!!
Well here i am now, jobless not able to provide for my loving family, i just feel so helpless. It had to happen now when unemployment is at it lowest.
Well like they say "SUCH IS LIFE" pretty much need to move on.
this is not a sympathy cry out i just need to get it off my chest and who better to tell than you guys. One thing about this site that i love is THERE IS ALWAYS SOMEONE WILLING TO HELP AND LISTEN.
cheers simon.

Bugger! I'm sorry to hear that.
However, either on here or on Overlander forum there was, I'm sure, someone seeking a 4WD accessory fitter.

Sorry to hear.
Keep your chin up and hope you find something fast.
Visit all the local businesses and see what is available.

Simon,
Sorry to here aboout your treatment at your soon to be ex-workplace.
Regret I'm not in position to provide any solution aside from that sometimes opportunities appear when you least expect it.
Keep positive.

Most disappointing Simon.
You sound exactly like me who puts pride into their work and to ensure it is right the first time...which means I will never be able to work as an accessory fitter for the very same reasons as you.
This is the type of job you need to do.
SEEK jobs database and employment advice (http://www.seek.com.au/users/apply/index.ascx?Sequence=89&PageNumber=1&JobID=14902869)
Keep your head up and you will find that job that you want.

Bugger! And that's not a suggestion to go see a Toyota dealer either.
Keep positive mate. You're someone who wants to put in an effort and will be rewarded for your dedication - just not at that place!
As others have said have a look around to find the place that does want what you have to offer.

Not good news Simon, but keep your chin up.
I had the radio on tonight in the shed and there was something about the launch of a new ARB store in Geelong this Saturday.
It was on K-Rock (95.5 FM) if you want to have a listen for it.
Might be worth taking a drive down for a look and a chat to them. There's other 4WD places down here too if you wanted to do the rounds.
Unfortunately I'm away this Saturday or you could have called in for a cuppa on the way...

Exactly what I was going to say. Try Umhauers tow-bar centre (Now ARB Geelong) 5229 3910.
Good luck,

Gee, I wonder what your soon-to-be-former-employer is called? (Hint, hint.) I wouldn't want to go there to have something fitted to my car if they only worry about how quick you are. (More hinting.)
Cheer up, you've obviously got some good skills and someone will appreciate them. I quit two jobs last year. I quit as a Housing Officer at Marra Worra Worra Aboriginal Corporation after two long years there, trying to get some systems in place. I didn't even get a thank you from the CEO. Ironically, the place is run by a bunch of white people.
Not long after, I quit from Guwardi Ngadu old people's home because another neurotic white person changed my job from something interesting to something useless. And here I was thinking that moving up here could be challenging because of Aboriginal culture - it's my own people who are the weirdos.
I don't mean to hijack your thread but I just wanted to say to hang in there and not to think it's only you who's copped it! There's nothing like doing your job well to **** off all those people who don't work hard.
