I hope this one gets contained near us:eek: I'm now on call tonight if it gets out of hand for to long as not in my brigade yet but is close:eek:
I have had my 120 set up with a Tank and pump for some time now but when nothing happens for a wile I don't seem to keep water or fuel on it at all times. After Vic I do now at all times:(

Storms coming through here ATM too (I hope, it almost looks like they could be going to the north and south of us)

I'm keeping our tanks full, there's 100 acres of mature, dry phalaris to the immediate west of our small place, so I don't know if we'd have any chance if something did start.....

Hope you have this cool change your way. That long dry grass is bloody dangerous if some one is careless with it. One of our greatest risk here is some clown using machinery on a hot dry day in long grass.
Had a young chap slashing near buy here with temp over 40 deg and he had no tanker:confused:
I had a go at him and he could not understand why there was a problem:(
After I left he gave it away so it must have sunk in.

15mm so far
Had a jumper on this morning.

So many here still slashing/mulching in the last week and no tankers at all
The same the other side of the range too. I get around a fair bit and I'm just stunned how many were into it. The stud next door are running the mulchers through the phalaris paddock ATM, thank my deity.

Cheers Tony,

The reason I ask is i'm driving up to Moree on friday/saturday from Morpeth and will be going past the Coolah area on my way. A little worried about possible fires/roadblocks etc.
