It is the "big tree" (apt name :D) near Dip falls which is just east of Stanley

The tree has a platform around it now....

Ok, the image is of the narrow land between the north and south of Bruny island.
Bruny is a fantastic spot for camping, so it have to be in your list for your next trip down under.

That is on the Capertee valley?
Now I remember it can be see from the Pearsons Lookout if I am not wrong.
Bugger was about 35 years ago when i used to go for trips on the Carpetee Valley, one of the best spots in Oz for bird photography.

Actually, didn't look at the file name, but as you had been up to the cape and knowing there was a rather picturesque railway station somewhere west of Cairns I went looking in Google earth.
The pics gave it away straight up - there is one taken from almost the same spot. I was going to link it but couldn't find the URL easily.
