God luck finding a 6spd , most likely have to be new and then you would have to find someone who can make the adapter for it to fit your tdi/td5. Alloy grill is off that dutch designers limited edition so again good luck finding one as none will come here.

Quaife do a 6 speed 'dog box version of the R380, but it's a POA proposition, which I reckon means if you need to ask $$ none of us can afford it ;)

oh i see! well looks like both items are going to be very hard to come by.
the making of parts to fit the gearbox shouldnt be to much trouble.were going to try and fit it to our isuzu in the near future the finding a 6 speed is going to be the hard part how much would a new 6 speed cost straight from land rover ?

Land Rover Australia must have a few spare Getrags, a few have failed in the last month or so. ;)

The new 6 speed gearbox is made by Getrag, all the previous gearboxes from the R380 back have been Rover/Leyland designed and made.

I reckon I've seen alloy defender grills in the English LR mags - plenty of different companies make them. Get a LR International mag and have a look. :)

Try ringing your local dealer - they should be able to get you a price.

Or Land Rover Enthusiast, it's a better read.
Off topic Scallops; is there anyone, apart from Blue Ribbon this side of town, with LR computer?

oh ok ! well we are going to have to make adapters (we as in dad and me) for when we goto put it behinde the isuzu it would be handy if there was diagrams so that we could follow but if not we are going to have to go and measure up sizes of the county and the new defender and design it ourselves.

???

You want to put the Getrag 6 speed behind an ISUZU 4BD1?

I think you might be better off using an ISUZU 6-speed box, like Dougal and John (Bush65) have. At least you know it would be strong enough.

well there you go i didnt know that! would you have any more info on this isuzu 6 speed any photos or serial numbers anything that will help because dad and i are not happy with the lt95 (even though we made it last for 385 thousand K's and still has more left in it) we come to the conclusion that they are not the best box for the isuzu so we were thinking of our options and we came up with the new 6 speed but as you have stated there is a different 6 speed from isuzu this sounds like a better propersition.

Search. Dougal and Bush65 have posted the specs of their setups before.

I know very little about these fandangled modern busses, but from what I understand the Getrag 6 speed box seems to break regularly and that is behind a teeny weeny 2.4L four pot...

Can you imagine the thrashing it will get behind a 4BD1-T?!

There was a German company selling defender accessories on ebay last week. They had some alloy grilles.

i wonder if the puma 6 speed could be mated up to the gen3 v8 i have in the shed :)

Ive been looking at ways of using the LT230 with a tremec t56 at the moment, but it seems having the transfercase divorced looks like the only way

I wonder how long that 'box would last behind a Holden V8 :o
