I have an original xbox with XBMC installed (Xbox media centre) and want to stream audio/video to it from my pc via wifi, i have Tversity installed on my desktop which is a media centre server program and an Aeropad mini for my xbox. Aeropad works on my laptop and i can access all my media files on my pc from the laptop but cant get the xbox to connect. Aeropad doesnt need drivers and is powered by usb taken off 1 of the controller ports, config is done via browser.

What version of windows/mac os are you using on the PC

first thing to do would be to connect using an ethernet cable direct to the router from the xbox this would tell you if it's the xbox or the pc end you need to look at.

PC runs XP pro, i have used the direct cable approach and it works fine ftp'ing files across and also used the same wifi adapter on my laptop so i know that is working. ! thing i have noticed is in the software i loaded on the xbox (unleash x) there used to be the IP address shown on the front page but now it just says IP : ? I also noticed that when in XBMC in the network settings page it flashes from no link to half duplex every couple of seconds ?

Is the xbox connecting to the wifi? We had 3 different xbox wireless adaptors, before changing the wireless router. The router was not compatible with the xbox. Once that was sorted it all worked great.

Once that was sorted it all worked great. Original xbox didnt have a wifi adapter as an option so i'm using a Upnp adapter that is meant to work with it, i think its an IP adress issue as it works fine using a lan cable.
