Replacing the factory D2 CD/Radio head unit - advice please

Hi,

To replace the factory CD/Radio head unit with an after market one, are there any limitations on minimum size etc? Looking at the existing unit in place, it seems quite tall, the width however appears the same as other available units.

Perhaps some pics can be posted on how your after market units look in the dash?

The radio does seem tall but it's just the fascia. Behind it is just a single DIN aperture.
