I don't think they are different except for the upholstery. Depending on what is wrong with yours, you may want to think about getting yours re-upholstered.

A visit to a good automotive apolstourer(HELP ME RONALD:p:p:p) your first call.I had the drivers seat re done in a landcruiser work ute.It was very comfy,so if it can be done to a tojo chair a defender chair should be easy.
Cost around $150 including using canvas to cover it,with me removing.re-fitting.

Upholsterer.
Yes, this is what I would do. Avoids the hassle of mucking about with mounts, how to get under the seat at your battery and toolbox, and getting engineering approval. The cost of the upholsterer would probably be less than that of the engineer, let alone the cost of the seat, and they really are quite comfortable when in good shape.
