Good to hear, yeah i had about 2 weeks before i drove through some puddles and my ABS light started comming up, was kind of re-assuring thought i wasn't driving a land rover for a while there. Might not be an electrical fault though, sometimes a spring inside the mech breaks, pretty sure thats what my rear passenger door is doing.

ooh we have issue numbere 2 now! My Disco is growing up soooo fast :p

When I put my blinkers on, the blinker light on the dash doesnt flash any more. Instead, the light next to it with a picture of a trailer (?) flashes once and thats it. Blinkers still work tho...

The trailer one is meant to flash once to let you know the wiring is all ok or something, and if you do actually have a trailer connected it should continually flash! Put a new bulb in the actual indicator one. Having said that I must admit mine don't exactly work as they should all the time - sometimes!

Blinkers still work tho...Being an early Disco, it will have a similar warning light set up to my 87 RR. The bulb holder contacts just need to be tweaked & all will be good again.

Or you can just do what I do - leave it as is & it will come good next week :).

Mine is having a fit too. The rear drivers side door wasnt unlocking (will lock tho), and this moring it unlocked, but the passenger rear door wasnt unlocking. Theres already another thread on this issue, must be the time of the year for D1's... :p

Also a D1 1993. My drivers door wasn't locking. I had an alarm fitted a year or so ago that also is supposed to lock the doors. On mine the door lock would activate then you could see the button pop up again. The auto electrician fixed it. The linkages were loose.

I have this same issue doors that work when they want to not when they are supposed to. Good to know not just me.

My passenger side electric window too sometimes won't work but only when my mother is in the car works for everyone else:tease:

Anyone know why they are more prone to these random events compared to other vehicles?

Happy to be shot down by the more experienced on the forum, however mine did the same thing approx 3 weeks ago while and after towing my bike trailer, did'nt think anyhthing of it at the time until I unhooked the trailer after that when I indicated the trailer light flashed. Thought it was a major electrical issue that alot had been warning me about, but turned out I had blown the indicator fuse, new fuse, now no problem however have'nt attached the trailer since!

:Rolling:I just knew someone would say that.
But I thought maybe someone might know something technical which might be the cause. Okay so if the discovery is tempermental because it is British what is Holdens excuse?

By chance have you got a bull bar with lights, ie; indicators?
The dash lights are activated when there are extra lights working.
Just something I picked up when I had the same query.

Holden = General Motors = YANK (Vauxhall in UK, Opel in Germany)

Which makes the Commondoor an aussie built car with a yank engine with most other stuff bassed on an old Uk/euro design. Nothing wrong with that...
