Diesel cheaper than unleaded today

Was I sleep-driving again today, or was this the first time I've seen diesel cheaper than unleaded in Melbourne.
Diesel 1.17 and unleaded 1.18

Diesel has been cheaper in Newcastle for a couple weeks now :) i filled up for 20c cheaper then unleaded! loved it. :D

Thanks - good to know I'm not dreaming.
I don't usually watch the prices as my daily driver is an old Falcon on LPG, so wasn't sure if it had been that way for a while and I just hadn't noticed.

For some reason I've just started noticing the prices at the big BP servo on the freeway near me as I drive past.
I'd swear that the lights on the big display board have either changed colour or are much brighter than they used to be. They are brilliant "BP Green" and I reckon you can read the prices from about 400m away.

News tonight says price of fuel will "stabilise" over next week or so does that mean up or down. :confused:

Diesel is still dearer than petrol here, and we're paying over $1.32 a litre for the privilege. :mad:

X2 has been like that here for at least a week or more, filled up at $1.12 yesterday....didnt even break a $100...whoo hoo :D

Doesn't surprise me! The Tapis unleaded price, which is the basis for our Aus petrol prices, has been way out of kilter with general oil prices for some weeks now. Tapis is of the order of US$50 per barrel equivalent, and Nymex crude is about US$38!

Noticed this a couple of weeks ago in melbourne and finally felt REALLY good about my decision to spend the extra $$$ on the diesel Disco 3 over the V6! I guess it'll last till the next round of petrol discounting, but feels good for now!

Saw it this today for $1.18 in kirrawee(BP) and 5km away in Miranda saw it for $1.55 :o at wooli's:twisted: across from Sutherland hospital, others are around $1.22 with unleaded around $1.27 mark

At Cecil Hills yesterday diesel 116.9 unleaded 130.9. Isee the price of unleaded stablized up about 25c in two weeks, now they can discount it 15c and say how good they are:mad:
