"The headline act at last week’s Top Gear Live show was a trio of Ferraris doing burnouts, but it appears the Ferraris weren’t real. By RICHARD BLACKBURN. "

What a ripoff - Money back please. (I didn't go... but if I did I would be asking for my money back.... as would a lot of other people it seems).

I thought they sounded a little off... I didn't imagine that they were fake though! :o

I thought it was just the acoustics of the arena!

Meh - who cares? They still went round and round and showcased the driving. I guess it makes sense. 3 cars at $400,000 each, plus two spares. 2 million right there... :o

I reckon if they said they were Ferraris, then they should have been Ferraris. You don't promote one thing then supply another.

If it didn't make a difference, then why not admit they were MR2s in drag?

Makes you wonder what else was faked.

How good the show was isn't the point.

A quick scan of the comments on the Drive.com site leaves me wondering whether the indignant fans who feel they were ripped off are really just embarrassed that they sat there impressed by the skillful driving and were quite oblivious to the fact that they were watching sheep in wolves' clothing.

I think some of them might be just covering for the fact that they don't want to admit that they couldn't tell the difference.

It's a long time since I have seen such self delusion. Many of them are even insisting that the TV show is renowned for its authenticity.

Just how thick are some of those car enthusiasts?

What a cack up, who cares....or that should be why care.

I think a more managable 150hp of MR2 and the smaller body would be much more impressive than 600Hp of bulky Ferrari that cant do anything but sit in one spot or doing power flicks.

By the way, I recon it wasnt really Jeromy Clarkson on stage, it was Dame Edina and Hammond was Damien Oliver and the big sceen was a recorded performance lol.

You were all ripped off because you actually got to see an entertaining show and probably left feeling like it was worth the money after having a great time.

Yep deffinatly ripped off, you should all demand your money back and write letters to Clarkson demanding he leave Topgear because he's a fraud etc etc.............

Really Get over it, you had a good time, laugh about the rest, it was a stage show, nothing is real in show business :D

"Why are you painting spots on those horses?"
"We need cows in this shot, but cow's don't look like cows on film... have to use horses"
"What do you do when you want to film horses?"
"Meh... usually we just film a bunch of cats..."

I have heard the quote but I can't recall where it comes from...
