LJ Hooker Mermaid Beach would like to invite you to a “Barbecue in the Park” to raise money for the LJ Hooker Bushfire Appeal on Sunday 22 February at Pratten Park, Broadbeach..
Many LJ Hooker customers and staff have been affected by the fires in Victoria and the 700-strong franchise network has lost friends and colleagues. The fire claimed the life of Mr Allan O’Gorman - who was a partner in the LJ Hooker offices at Wallan and Whittlesea - as well as his wife and one of his sons. A former franchise owner and his wife were also killed.
We ask everyone to show their support and come along on Sunday 22 February to Pratten Park on Old Burleigh Road, across the road from the Broadbeach State School. The barbecue starts from 10.00am.
We would like to acknowledge the assistance of Goldstein’s Bakery & Pie Shop and Freestone Fresh Meats for their generous donations of their great products to make this event possible.
LJ Hooker Mermaid Beach team members will be visiting homes in the local area with information about the Appeal and this weekend’s event.
If people can’t make it on the day, they can still support the Appeal by calling our office on 07 5554 6777 to make a donation.
It has obviously been a devastating time for many Victorians, and we hope the fund established by LJ Hooker will go some way towards helping rebuild the lives of those affected.

We Will be having a sausage sizzle and drinks with gold coin donations going directly to those victims effected by the fires.
Fantastic location with plenty of parking, on the beach (so bring the swimmers) and shaded playgrounds for the kids!
