Well February has proven to be the month to move house for AULROians with both the Solmanics and Scallopses shifting. I thought it time to post some photos and tell a bit of a story about the shift.... and sing the praises of our Defender and its anti-stall technology!
I have already posted a couple of pictures of the shed and car port, so here are a few others of the house in general...

Classic 70s architecture - split level with high ceilings and clearstorey louvres. The previous owners lived here for 20-odd years and did a basic renovation over the past 6 months ready to sell it. Nice and simple, all white with a new kitchen and rainwater harvesting that needs to be seen to be believed.

And here is the driveway which NM commented on in the sheds thread...

Might I just say - I LOVE anti-stall in the new Defender!!! Backing a trailer up the driveway in low-range makes you feel like a trailer-backing GOD! Easy-peasy, crawling up the incline just modulating things with the brake and no fear of stalling it. I felt like I had a canoe in my pocket when the neighbour was privileged enough to witness one of my efforts.
Here's another shot of the extremely tight car port...

Just a couple of inches to spare. Had a scare one time when I backed the trailer in, leaving the Defender outside with the back juuust under the gutter. That was fine until I un-hitched the trailer and unloaded . Only a bee's-dick to spare and fortunately no touch. I got the trailer back on quick smart.
And here's the view. Surprisingly high up and we get fantastic breezes from the river.

Anyway, hope you like these and I'm sure we can look forward to a batch of photos from Mr & Mrs Scallops in the near future.
