Having changed bars i need to rotate the gear housing of my winch so when i mount it upsidedown (what were ARB thinking) i can reach the clutch lever without crawling under the car. Is it just a matter of undoing the bolts rotating the housing and doing back up or more complicated ? - the manual gives the servicing procedure but no mention of housing rotation.

Did you change over to an ARB bar? I thought the old one was very nice.

While i was removing the clutch housing to rotate it 180 deg. i thought i should take a peek inside as the free spool lever was pretty stiff, glad i did as there was little grease left and a small amount of water that was starting to form rust on some of the gear teeth. A good clean and re lube and its ready to put back in.

Yea, pretty standard for a lowmount, another reason I like highmounts:)

I definately see the benefit of a high mount especially considering where ARB have put the mounts for the winch - upside down :o. I could mod the cradle but i have some checkerplate alloy lying around so i will just make a guard for it.
