Hi all
Can anyone recomend someone in the east or south of sydney, who could clear the EAS FAULT on the dashboard.
The car is permanently in high suspention and a picture of the car with an arrow underneath comes on the dash display
I have replaced air suspention bags and compressor seal.
The main dealers are asking big dollers for something that I don't think is too hard.I only want to clear the fault.Any ideas ?
Many thanks Paul

If you wish, you can download the free EAS software, make up a lead, and do it yourself.

You'll be amazed how fast your car goes with an empty wallet :wasntme:.

I'm getting a Haltech Interceptor fitted. Can a dealer do that? :D

Of course, if they stuff up your ECU, there'll be no charge ;).

Clearing the EAS fault will be of no use at all.

You may as well get some electrical tape and cover over the fault light.

What you really need to do is start figuring out why the light is there in the first place.

Sounds like an overhaul of the EAS might be on the cards.

Doesn't have to cost the earth if you are handy with a screw driver.

Plenty of good doco around as well for diagnosing problems.

Good luck
Dave

I recently found out, that a dead battery can also trigger eas fault codes.

You can also try Sam from Rangeland Automotive, he's a sydney based mobile Landrover mechanic, and he can reset the codes in your driveway. 0410664194.

Dunno, Andrew. I've had a dead battery many times (twice this week) and it's never triggered a hard fault. However, when I get home, I'll put T4 on the cr and check if there are any soft faults logged.

The car battery was dead for a while (months). Then i charged the battery whilst in the car and connected aswell, which may have caused a spike. My mechanic friend who reset the codes, said he had seen it before.
