while I was at David performance landys for a slight stuff up with the Turbo which was self inflicted  I got talking to Bruce about a "Turbo manifold housing" that he's had on offering to customers for sometime , it's a Fixed Geometry Turbo set up for a 300tdi . there is a Disco he has on Display which he has this turbo setup installed and I took it for a test drive

it has Torque all the way thru the rev range, the Exhaust gases gets this little baby spinning much faster at lower RPM.

now the Disco drove absolutely beautiful , much smoother power delivery there is no Bottom end lag at all ,( for you folks that tow )

well I saw Dyno figures and power it's around 55-56 kw at wheels with a standard intercooler , apparently the pump gets sent away for a diesel specialist to overhault , plunger lift , fuel map , bla bla bla , I can't really give away too much details , but geez it goes .

Pat,

Don't quote me on this , but I think $3400 , either he uses his spare rebuilt pump on your 300tdi and sends your existing pump away to get it overhauled and if it needs a complete rebuild it will be extra on top.

$3400 for that!!!!.For less than half that you could get more performance out of the original. Pat

Pat,

I think you may have missed my point , the way this Fixed Geometry turbo helps the motor deliver power is different to standard set up . you're never going to get the Torque you want down low with a Standard set up , infact it also gives you more top end as well. so Either a Variable Geometry Turbo charger would be be the way to go or as Rick has posted a Different Exhaust manifold to get your Tubo impeller spinning much faster at lower inertia which means boost comes in earlier , If you're referring to more performance using Diesel-gas system ,this set up doesn't modify the Geometry of your Turbo and doesn't alter your Fuel map on your VE bosch pump .
