In my case....

start, control panel, display, this brings up the generic windows graphics control options.

From here select the settings tab and press the advanced button on that page. this brings up the plug and play monitor options

from here select the Intel(R) graphics media accerlator tab and press graphics properties this brings up the intel graphics media accelrator panel.

on the left side select the display driver tab and thats got your rotation controls on it.

you may not have to goto all this hassle if you look in the system tray next to the clock there might be a small icon of a generic monitor or a blue tile leaning to the left with an asterix in it, that will bring up the same panel (or it did in mine when i turned that particualr system tray icon back on again)

if you need it I'll take some screenshots of the process.

your milage may vary.

Yet another example of what a big improvement Vista is over XP. :p

Seriously though, even though I've never tried it on Vista, I had been led to believe that it was a feature built into most video cards rather than a Windows feature. I don't know whether that is true or not.

Do you have an unusual video card?

Did you try Ctr+Alt + the other arrow keys?

You don't need to get it to work on Vista.

You have a solution of your own.:p

I'll let Sleepy tell you.

I'll just settle for making the snide remark that as he is making do with a second rate operating system, he might have been able to use the Alt and numeric keypad method or he might have had to resort to something else. :p

WELL do tell
Mrs ho har:angel:

Nothing smart - I jsut cut and past tooshay into WORD cos I dunno how to spell and it does me a little red squiggle and shows me how to spell proper - and does a little do-dad above the "e" that I googled to find out the it is called an ACCUTE ACCENT. Makes me sound smarterer than I reely am!:D:D

Only reason i use Vista is cos it came with my laptop and I have no idea how to change it.:p

Alt arrow gives me nuthin!

Vista is like owning a Td5 - I just amour-all the engine cover and hope it knows what is doing under that black plastic thingamy.:D:D

Unicode font. A font where a combination of key storkes gives you a special character. In Word (etc.) you insert a symbol like the e in touché and it can be ready by any Vist/XP/mac machine that operates a keyboard!

Try this link.

Keyboard Shortcuts for special characters (http://home.earthlink.net/%7Eawinkelried/keyboard_shortcuts.html)

Basically you hold down the Alt key and use the numeric keypad to type a number then release the Alt key.

Are you holding down both the Alt key and the Ctrl key while you press the down arrow or one of the other arrow keys?

Okay, bring on the grey haired ol' bastard jokes!

You're not likely to hear any of those sort of jokes from me. I was already old enough to have a drivers licence when you were born.

I can sympathise. Some things seem so simple and obvious after you have done them once. It's so easy to miss even something obvious when you are faced with it for the first time.
