It won't be loud at all.

On my 130 you can't tell from inside the cabin.

From behind you can now clearly hear the turbo whistling. A 130 has a longer pipe than a 110, but don't think that will make that much difference.

I built a 3" straight through system several years ago.
It was the most annoying, painful, obnoxious noise I've ever heard in my life, I reckon it was worse than a peripheral port rotary at full noise :(
The resonance right at 100km/h was absolutely painful, my head became a tuning fork as the cabin resonated.
With a resonator and finally a small muffler it has tamed the noise somewhat, but it still sounds like a 4 cylinder diesel......:toilet:

I took the rear box out of the 90 and did not make alot of noise differance . But gave alot more mid range power

I'm on my greens so i was reluctant to do it at first as like you i didn't want to attack too much attention from the cops. But the guy who did the job for me was surprised at how it sounded he reckons i wont have any troubles and i haven't and iv driven past many a cop since i had it done.
It gives a brilliant tough throaty sound with the turbo whistle loud and clear! i love it still music to my ears.

I am more then impressed with the note i get from my exhaust but i will admit that it does droan a lot around 100kmph but i dont do that speed to often and iv got muddies so they humm away and send vibrations through the car a little as well but im young and can put up with it!
When i start him up and hear the whistle at idle i know iv done the right thing!
Each to there own, but i will admit if i was going to use it for a round Aus trip i would with out hesitation fit the mufflers.

If you are still using the OE exhaust (2.375") it will be a fair bit quieter than a 3" pipe. ;)

i tend to find that driving a land rover acts as an invisibility cloak as far as police are concerned.. they leave me very much alone and i too am on my green P's. i have a 2.5 mandrel bent system straight off the back of the turbo, with one straight through muffler. inside you can't hear anything different except for the turbo, which makes itself known....but even that isn't obtrusive. i've got 33" muddies on too, which hum at and above 80-90 km/h and dull the "performance" but i can still keep up with the patrols and cruisers...i just use less fuel doing it :)
you do notice the louder sound when driving next to those half height concrete walls, through a tunnel or under a bridge etc.

just had a new exhaust put on last week, went to a 2.5" with a hotdog in the middle and got rid of the rear muffler. sounds a lot better and have more power in the mid range. no real noticeable sound difference in the cab.
those concrete wall do make you remember why you did it!
