After bashing the stock steeing bar/tube on a rock and crushing it, I want to replace it but with a stronger unit, with a skid plate. Dont want to buy one but would like some pics if anyone has made their own, or suggestions from those who have them.

My design will basically follow the original one, except it will hang slightly lower and have a bash/skid plate.

Any thoughts?

Mine is a pro job, works well, protects the full size oil fiter as well, dont use alloy checkerplate, it tends to grab hold instead of sliding over obstacles, Regards Frank.

Yeah, I think square is the go, easier to weld up. Dont have the $$ to spend on one Harry, else I would buy one instead :D
