well I got my P38A back with the rebuilt 4.6...so thats what a 'new' 4.6 feels like!!!!!! :)
Talk about PULL and smoooooth...new things are all bearings, rings, cam, oil pump, valves & stem guides, injectors, recon are the heads and a replacement ac condenser.
Its even VERY clean now, all nice 'n shiny :)
This oughta do me now for a few more years!!

Just out of interest, what did the rebuild consist of and if you don't mind posting, how much did it cost. Might be good info for others.

starting from the top, recon heads, rings, main bearings, big end bearings, lifters, oil pump, timing chain, cam & cam end bearing, all new seals and gaskets, new set of head bolts, new thermostat, all up $4,750 including fluids & labour.
Comes with 12 months/20000 km warranty.

thats a prity good price,, we had a engine rebuild come thro in a d2 v8 an that was around 7k,

yeah I'm happy with them, its a pretty well known Rover workshop who recently moved to Rooks Rd in Vermont (Melbourne)
I used to bring my first Disco there in the early 2000's, now we use them for my partner's Disco and my Rangie.

taking the beast in for its '1500km' service next week, engine's been very good :)
