My rear sliding windows are rattling in my 130.
Can anyone give me any tips how to remove/replace the window slides?
I cant see any screws holding them in or any way to get the glass out.
I presume I can just buy lengths of the channel to replace.

It should have a rubber insert around the window frame. Pull it out and you will see a whole lot of rivets to drill out. You can then remove the frame and undo the two halves.
Alternatively if you don't want to bother, get a half dozen packets of those foam ear plugs and roll them up and slid them in to the frame around the loose window. My 110's side windows have been like that for almost 2 years and don't rattle anymore.

I was hopeing there was another way besides pulling the whole frame out:(
but that has got to be better than the rattels. I tried different things in the slides but I like to open it for the airflow & shut for rain & it soon rattles again.

There really isn't another way. You need to get the glass out to get the old channel out. It may be possible to slide the window fully open and remove some of the old channel then put in a partial replacement but I doubt it would be as effective. The frame is near enough identical to the 110 rear windows and in that case pulling it out and putting it back are actually very easy, just have to drill out and replace a lot of rivets.

Geez, don't pull anything apart !!
It isn't necessary.
Land Rover, in their infinite wisdom used felt for the windows it it fails too damned quickly.
Try and pick and pry it all out, it's a bugger of a job, and go to a Rare Spares stockist and get some of their small section bailey channel.
Sorry, I can't be more specific with size and part # as I bought mine a few years back, and it is a bit of a struggle to fit but you can slide it into the existing frame and under the windows.
It permanently cures the rattle, seals properly and lasts.

Sounds a bit like doing the front windows then :)

Remove old felt and insert small bailey channel instead of the felt. Its a bit fiddly but worth the peace and quiet.

Hi Albert,
When I was fed up with rattling rear side windows in my 1999 Defender, I found the felt lining of the window channel was actually a reasonably priced LR part. The old felt can be pried out with a small bladed screwdriver and the new felt presses easily into place...no more rattles! There is a trick to getting the felt into the top section at the back above the glass - found you could slide the glass all the way open, slide it forward a 1/4, tuck the end of the felt in and hold it against the glass with the screwdriver while you slide it back with the window.
Might be worth checking with a LR dealer if you can get the felt for your 130 rear window. PM if more 'fitting' detail required.
Cheers,

I've just done mine, well half. I took a small screw driver and stanley knife and cleaned out all of the old felt, did not take long. Went to woodsies in Dianella, I tracked down the correct size Baily strip there. Get 2m per window track and carefully squeeze it in right way up, I managed to almost do it one piece, but lost patience and did it in two bits with the cut on top. The window gets quite stiff on the slide but not too bad. The latch on the other had is bldy expensive about $45 per each, but very easy to install.
Hope this helps

<snip>
The only problem with the LR stuff is it dies again very quickly, whereas the aftermarket proper bailey channel works and keeps working.
As Mal said it's a bit stiff to slide but it kills the rattles and seals properly.
I use the back window a fair bit as my best mate occupies the back seat of the crew cab on most days and she likes a breeze. ;)

My nearest Clark Rubber (100km away) is a Rare Spares stockist so they had the bailey channel in stock.
Here's a stockist for Qlders
