well i picked up my new toy last weekend and am very happy with it i have already added roof bars for my kayak :D
i think some side steps might be in order as the car is in pristine condition and id like to minimize any stone chips etc which ones would you recomend
i was reading in the manual that a cd changer can go under the seat is this what the spare wire and plug are for under the seat  if so where can i get these units from

Nice mate. D2's are nice vehicles.
If you want to stop stone chips then I would recommend a bonnet protector. Deflects a lot of low stones from chipping the bonnet.
As for the CD changer....I have one. Never use it anymore. Ipod has done away with it.

The plug under the seats could be the wiring for heated seats, my D2 had the same thing and ended up being for heated bums...
Never got around to hooking them up though.

Hi johnb44
Very nice. I'm thinking of getting a D2 myself. How old, TD5 or V8 and how much (if you don't mind me asking:angel:)?
Thanks

Really good point Angus! I'm always replacing mine from road damage.

Got mine at the Victorian 4wd show at Wandin a couple of years back for $50. Good investment...also got the headlight protectors for $35 I think.

Have a look at the GME TX3440, very secure because is remote and all the controls are on the microphone.
I unplug the microphone when I am not in the vehicle or not use the radio
Is a thread HERE (http://www.aulro.com/afvb/communications-car-audio-electronics/73829-gme-tx3440-bonus-pack.html) about it.
Cheers
