Hi Folks,

I know the D2 does not leave you a lot of options to add brake controllers etc to the Driver's compartment so this is what I ended up doing. Looks like a lot of space is used up but the controller angles in for operation so larger space below for storage. The TM-2 is a hoot and the buzzer can easily be heard with the lid closed.

May not suit a few but just to show is can be done.

Cheers

I stuck my controller on the far right corner of the dash,,

I thought the spot was "made for it",,,

It all fits well inside the cubby though:cool:

Very neat, however this setup could be no good in an emergency situation when you need to apply the manual over-ride on the controller (if it has one). The lid will take time to fiddle around and open, even longer if the passenger is resting their arm on the lid. Sometimes every second counts in an emergency situation, I guess you could keep the lid open or off permanently whilst towing?

As for emergencies I would agree totally, however I only tow an outback swan, and never had the need for the emergency brake once properly set up. I only use the controller about twice a year and its manually switched so not active unless with the van. I imagine the larger the van the more need for ready access the unit.
