gday every one.
any body can tell me what that black little domed plastiv thing on the centre of my dash is?
ive tryed looking it up in tha manual but its just not there..on my rave cd it tells me how to take it out and replace it.

sort of but no.
what it (the sensor) does is measure the light intensity in the vehicle from which it (the climat control computer) can then work out how much energy is being absorbed into the vehicle via solar radiation.
theres 3 types of sensor (allegedly)
a miniture solar panel type
a Light Dependant resistor
and a light sensitive semiconductor (think transistor that gates on solar instead of a signal voltage)
the more light it (the sensor) reads ( I assume it specifically reads UV and IR) the higher it (the computer) kicks the aircon to offset the additional heat load from the sun.
