Just got over the floods (X 2)

Things are back to normal at last. Hope this one doesn't undo all the good work recently done in our northern towns..

The ground here is still totally full of water after the floods, no where for any further rain to go but up.

I have moss growing on the dirt in my carport inspite of two weeks sunshine.

It is not so much the wind factor that is the problem.
Large low pressure systems always bring a lot of rain with them.

We were marooned here twice recently.

I sincerly hope you are right and would cheerfully send you all the rain you need in the south east corner if it was in my power.

Cyclones seem to follow me, lived in Cairns when Larry called, Pt Hedland the following year.........due for it.

Going to be worth keeping an eye on. The watch already extends down to Bowen so it sounds like they really think it will go south. Hate to think what a cat2 would do if it hit Townsville.

Good luck, I suppose you really won't know if you are in the clear until tomorrow night at the earliest. Generally though they suck the rain away with them, so if it keeps going south of Ingham you may be OK.
