Clunk

I have just bought a 94 v8i disco first time disco owner it drives very nice and i am very pleased with it but a clunck can be heard sometimes when i take off a little fast not alwasys is this something to look at or is it a disco thing and not worry ?

Is it a manual?

All older LRs clunk in their driveline somewhat. It might be a simple fix like replacing the axle end flanges ($40 bucks each from memory), or it might be your "A Frame" bush on the rear suspension, which is still not expensive (maybe $200?).

The bad things could be worn splines to the transfer case, and then it's big bucks :(
