Hi all

I am selling my much loved Rangie due to family and work commitments and am looking at a 130 dual cab. It's a 1995 model with 170,000kms on the clock.

It is very neat and tidy with an ARB winch bar (no winch), Steel roofed canopy with canvas sides on the tub (which looks ugly), Toyota surf spare wheel swing arm grafted onto the rear of the tub, Maxi Drive rear axles and flanges plus dual batteries (second battery is under drivers seat in a custom made box). It has a snorkel, turbo timer and low coolant alarm.

Suspension look at original height with King/TJM or similar springs up front. Still has dual springs in the back so I assume they are the originals. It drives very well on 235 BFG muds and original steel wheels.

Is there anything I should look out for? I have checked all the usual rust areas as the owner did mention that it has a slight footwell drip in heavy rain.

Unbelievably, there are no oil leaks! The spare wheel carrier concerned me a bit, but the owner has done 2 trips to the cape with it and there are no stress cracks around the mountings.

I am hoping to pick it up this weekend. (if all goes to plan with the bank ...I mean wife)

Plans are 2" suspension lift, smaller, neater winch bar (bit like the Scrapiron style) and winch, Maxi Drive axles, lockers and 4.11 CW&P front and rear, upgraded steering arms, upgraded rear trailing arms, 33" BFG muds, upgraded exhaust, and a new canopy over the tub - original factory styled.

Cheers
Andrew

"Unbelievably, there are no oil leaks!"

No oil leaks. Possibly no oil at all. Mate just had his van of two years serviced. Absolutely no oil in the gearbox when it went in for the service. Better check once you buy it.

Check for chassis cracks at the tray mounts and also the actual chassis in front of the rear springs. No biggy to repair them but better to be aware.
