View Full Version : DOG GUARD or CARGO BARRIER

I want and need to get something to separate the back from the heads.
There are two options: a DOG GUARD (http://members.optuszoo.com.au/~igolka/library/images/FreelanderDG.jpg) and a proper CARGO BARRIER (http://www.milfordind.com.au/shop/?page=shop/flypage&product_id=218&category_id=83b5eebce9093a4842fb6c50fc20c9b7). Now, the problem is it needs to be removable as I often put the seats down.

Dog Guard looks like a cargo barrier but it seems a lighter duty and somehow installs behind the seats in "5 minutes". Seems like there are no other major mods to get it in.

Cargo Barrier, AFAIK requires more mounting points, may not be as removable as a Dog Guard but would be / is substantially stronger.

Any one has experience with either in their Flandies or other cars?
I guess I am not looking for heavy-duty protection but want to stop things flying from the back - just in case.

Cheers

I have the dog guard - and yes it is easily and quickly removed as it is held in place at the top by the same brackets that the seats clip to in the upright position. Just fold the seat backs down and pull out.

It is lightweight but considering what you are likely to carry in the rear would also work as a reasonable cargo barrier.
