Ok don't think i have shown these before but these are the lights i have on my 90 . Just had to replace one as after 7 years one of them corroded but found out that they were never put on defenders in Aus so had to get a replacement from the Uk. Did not think i had seen many defenders here with white lights

But these are the late style defender light and not the early ones ,

So you can't just use the lenses of older land rover ones. And the front side light ones are too small to put an indicator bulb or stop tail light into them . So you have to get speacial land rover ones

Just a tart thing really :):)

Funny that as i have replaced the lense on my defender with the earlier type before

You just have to break the old lense off takes a bit of stuffing around but is doo a ble as they are glued on;)

both narva and hella have indicator lamps that appear silvery blue when off but orange when on..... made especially for clear indicator lenses

i bought a full set of the 2 piece clear lights a few years back but am still to get around to fitting... once i get around to buying the new bulbs that is ;)

Unfortunately i only heard about cutting off the current lenses after i'd forked out for the 2 piece (wasn't overly resourceful at the time) :(

Hi 'Reads90',
Apropos of lights.... a pommy/Oz Defender owner gave me a good tip a few years back;

Replace the amber/red RH fog light lens with a clear reversing light lens - connect the 'fog light' across into the reversing light wiring on the LH side. Bingo - a 2nd reversing light on the RH side where it does the driver some good...very handy.
Cheers
