I am also placing a link to some other internet based sites.
1)With this site u can share tracks with other users.
http://www.track-n-share.com/
2)This is an Australian site where u can download maps.
http://naturalresource.alphalink.com.au/index_files/Maps.htm
3)This forum is for Tasmanian and I have found it very usefull.

I am going through a learning curve and so far can use Mapsource to download and plot routes for my Garmin GPSmap60 hand held gps.
I am using Track-n-share to upload some of these tracks.
Only done one near home so far as a test.
Looking for software to convert the data to use on my Binatone GPS also carried in my Rangie.
Next purchase will be a laptop from Dick Smith as well as Ozi explorer software and GPS mouse to make what I have complete.
Looking forward to making tracks of Tasmania and locations available to all AULRO users.
cheers
If only 1 person finds this info helpfull I shall b very happy.
