in image shack copy the direct link and when posting hit the picture button with the two mountains on it. Delete the Http:// already in there as generally when you copy a link from the picture hosting site you copy that bit in it already, hit ok and if you have done it right it should appear in your post before you hit the submit button.

I dont think your clicking on the direct link option like I said above....thats how I did the large picture in your post

thanks for your patiance
On the left hand side of the imageshack screen there is a list for "actions", I am selecting upload for forum option.
Normal for me to get a direct link I double click an image and that brngs it up in a webpage by itself (the direct link can be copied from header bar). When I double click my images in image shack it only highlights/unhighlights the image and dosnt open in a window. I must be trying to get a direct link wrong

in that list on the left there is one that says "direct" click on that and copy it then do as i said above with the picture button in your message window and it should work

I actually find image shack very confusing to work with and fine photobucket much much easier...as with photobucket you just copy the link that says Image and paste it straight into your reply and the picture appears
