I was poking around on the interweb looking for a blown V8 suitable for a
Rangie . I decided to have a look on the aj6 engineering website and i found
this. I wonder if it would be possible to put it in the RRC. Im sure there
would be many issues with this engine however its always fun to speculate:)

Very nice ... The motor won't be a problem // Just everything else

Gearbox // TC // Diff

Have you settled in on a RRC model yet??

A RRC is already setup as capable 4x4 ... stock standard

A nice RRC EFI 3.9 Auto with a soft spring 2" lift & diff locks will Kill most tracks that the other brands would die on

You won't need that much power as .... it's a RRC ... :)
All the other brands will try to drag you at the lights .... cause it's a RRC :)
You don't have to beat the other brands .... cause it's a RRC :)

oh come'on Mikie , Don't Tell me you wouldn't want that much Horse power on Tap:twisted:

It's not that I want to Drag other Brands like Toyota/Nissan

It's Blowing the Rice Boys out the Door with my modified Rangie:D:D

Just letting v12stuart that it is a RRC .... nothing to else to do  ...

and to put it in another way

When you see a column of bikers riding Harleys ... You always see a ute at the back .... This is the recovery vehicle

So how come in the other brand's land .... You always see a lone RRC :p :p

Whats wrong with a bit of 4 wheel tire BBQ at the lights:D:D:D, I'd love to smoke a rice burner in an RRC. I think a manual transmission would do that engine better probably the old 4-spd but i could be wrong

Yep i don't see anything wrong with POWER:twisted:
Go ahead and do it i say:D
Not shore how the lt95 would handle that, you might have to rebuild it with stronger internals;)

A Auto is much kinder to the drive train ... As with manuals there is a tendency for the power to slam the gears & shafts as you are moving the clutch in & out as you are selecting gears

Autos tend to keep all the shafts & gears in a positive power position

If you want to give a rice burner a shock .... Fit a NOS kit in a V8 Auto :p

Then how will you dump the clutch to barbecue all fours? In terms of the longevity of the drive train and g/box i'd say it depends on how kind you are with the clutch... Of course if you're dumping it to smoke the bags well... my 89 still goes well with the orig 5 spd in it and its done about 500000 i am very gentle with the clutch though.

That was a personal favourite of mine with stock gearing and 37" rubber. Could do 80ks easily in low range, used to laugh my tits off a lot :D

The best one was we did it to a new V8 200LC twice. The third time I let him go before I blew a CV of spat the pin out of the rear diff:twisted:
Had this guy buggered how we got the jump on him all the time then dropped back. He even had his foot on the skids and torqued it up to try and make a break. He must have realised latter on I was in low range.
