My only experience with Acer equipment wasn't good so I haven't had any confidence in their products since.
I've just bought and LG Flatron (http://www.gamedude.com.au/prod_list.php'maingroup=MONITOR&secondgroup=LCD 22inch)22" LCD (W2252TQ) for $259. I got it from a local computer shop (http://www.gamedude.com.au/) but you can buy online and have it posted. I upgraded from a 17" CRT too. It seemed to have the best specs for the price. Anything over 22" and the price increases rapidly.

You should be able to get a AOC 22" for around the 240-250 mark, I run 2 of them no problems, also Chimei 22" would come under that as well, if you can get to your local computer markets you can grab a bargain.

I have a BenQ and it's great.

BenQ E2200HD 21.5" Full HD Widescreen LCD Monitor - 5ms Resp (2ms GTG), Glossy Black, Res 1920x1080, Dynamic Contrast Ratio 10,000:1, Speakers, HDMI LCD MONITOR

You should get it for $255. The gamer's on Whirlpool think they are fantastic for the price. The speakers are not great but you do get some quality of sound.

They are very impressive.

I can't remeber the price of them but we have 3 x 24" Dell LCD's in our office and when we did our research these were the best on offer both for functionality and value for money. One place to get all the info you could need to make a decision about anything computer related is whirlpool.net.au they have independent reviews of all things tech related. If you watch the dell website you can often get quite good deals on their monitors.

We have about 50 24" Dells here at work, i would love to swap my 19" from home with it when the boss isnt looking. For around $230 i have seen a few 20-22" Asus that would be my pick price wise.
