Simon,

In GE zoom to the area you want to draw the path (track) on.
Left click "My places" so it is highlighted.
Use the "Path" tool to draw your paths (tracks). Each individual path can have its own name.
Add place marks (waypoints) where required.

When you're done make sure all the paths and points are under "my places". If they're not, just drag them to it.

Right click over "My places", save as, type your file name and choose the file type "kmz" (or is it kml as Miky says below?).

You can then send or post the kmz file for others to open.

Cheers.

You need a kml file.
There are several programs around that will convert your gps track file to kml.
Google kml tutorial (http://code.google.com/apis/kml/documentation/kml_tut.html)

Of course I am assuming you know how to produce a Google map with waypoints etc.

Have a search, there is heaps of stuff out there.
