if a small part feel down the demister vents of a D2 is there a low point where random objects would collect and does anybody know how you would get access to it?

Well thank God for that....for a while there I thought I may have been in trouble.

My only worry is I think it is the spigot lever for the CDL....don't ask.

No problems now - to engage the cdl just turn on the demister.

After countless AULRO threads on activating the D2 cdl, you have finally solved it. A cheap and easily implemented solution. :spudnikbeanie:

Magnetic pick up tool from supercheap. Its a little magnet on the end of a 60cm flexible stick / shaft/thingy. about 6 dollars and saves many hrs of dismantling, frustration and cursing.

I think I have a 10cent coin that fell down one of my vents, you can hear it slide around when going around corners and when traversing rough terrein. Will try to use the magnetic tool, but I think it will be very difficult to find.

I don't think you will have any luck with the magnet on coins, not magnetic. However on the same shelf as the magnet you will find a 3 pronged flexible arm that you position over the item and grasp by pulling a centre cable. God luck finding it.
