Hi Guys,

A long time ago i delved into photography in high school and learnt some of the basics. now the digital era has arrived my whife was intrested in taking it up. so i brought her a camera for a birthday. after a little research i got her a cannon 450d it looked like a faily good first camera but also have some more features when she learns a bit more.
It even blew me away how more complicated these digatal cameras are to the old school SLR i used in highschool. :eek::eek: Any way this is a great little forum and hope to be putting the wife's and mine photos on here.

Dose any one have this camera and any advice you wish to share would be great

great you have made your way into the DSLR group if you learnt the basics with film should be ok with your new camera and a little bit of research...

When I got my camera I actually did a short course...mainly so I could just learn what all the functions are about and try and get the best out of my camera and improve my own photography the course was only something like 150bux but was well worth it and I would recommend anyone to do a short course just to help you get your head around your camera..

welcome to the Camera Corner.
Digital photography is a lot of fun. One of the advantages that I enjoying more is that I have the control on the developing of the images and not depending on labs any more.
