Ok , I have finaly got around to removing and inspecting the rear shocks on the 130. It has been feeling a bit bouncy in the rear lately and it appears the right hand one is considerably more lazy than the left hand one. They are of the Boge variety and have lasted only 30 000kms. The ute does mainly empty highway driving with the occasional loaded up trip. My questions are what shocks will give better life and how much will they set me back ?

Hi JamesB, the general feeling is that you can't beat Bilsteins as a general all round shock for reasonable money. I use them and am quite pleased. My 130 has double shocks at the rear as I carry a good load most of the time and it used to bounce badly. I purchased mine two years ago from Graeme Cooper Automotive and they were good to deal with. Can't recall the price and it would have changed by now anyway.Cheers, 130man.
