I did a search earlier about oil to run in the TD5 and the overall consensus seemed to be use Penrite Diesel HPR5.

So I toddled off to AutoBarn Logan to buy it and it was $99.99 for 10 litres, bugger I thought that is a bit high, so I packed the kids back in the car and went down to SuperCheap Springwood and the same stuff $84.98, so I checked the other things I was going to get and they were also 10-15% cheaper.

AutoBarn is my choice of supplier but I am going to have to shop around more. AutoBarn also had the Oil in 20lt drums $189.00.

Are there any cheaper suppliers?

Oh and the other thing SuperCheap was selling Silicon hoses, all gerneric but has anyone had any dealings with these?

Yes it pays to shop around. But these days I look at it this way. If I only want 1 item, then I way up my time and the distance I have to travel, no good travelling kms and using up the savings made in extra fuel used to get the savings....... However I must admit in days gone by I would travel to save a scheckle or two, just to protest against the dearer retailer and begrudging paying more at one place over another.:(
