Many of the members have digital cameras with which abstracts and digital creations/special efects can be made (as an example the combination of long exposure and playing with the focus) and other members have good software to create abstracts and digital creations.

I have a series of abstracts which I am selling overseas and in Oz using the sand in the beach as a canvas and the natural light on the sunrises.
This is one of them.
The equipment used is:
Nikon D200, Tokina 12-24, Manfrotto tripod and ball head, PSCS3 and some plugins.

I am looking forward to see your work ;)

This is a 30 second exposure using an B+W 110 ND filter, D200, 24-70 Nikkor.

I took this shot at the Easternats at Sandown a couple years ago.

I was messing around with the curves function in Photoshop, wondering what would happen if instead of a diagonal line, I changed it to an 'm'.

Here's the result.

Is this abstract enough for you?
As you probably guessed, it is also created by playing around with Curves in Gimp.

I just noticed that even though this JPEG image is the same size I usually post photos and set at the same level of compression, it is about twice the size that I usually get.
I suppose that has something to do with the complex patchwork of colours.

Thx, lighting proudly sponsored by the Sun. Just got lucky, it was not too harsh to burn out too much texture. Polariser Fitted.:D

Here are mine. I haven't edited these photos in any way aside from adjusting contrast, brightness and saturation (obviously some are monochrome too :p)

With all the tremos that we have in the last 3 weeks including the terrible in Chile I think that this abstract is appropiate.
The "canvas" is made by the low tide on the sand at the beach.
Cheers
