I own a series 2A LWB.
recently the headlights failed, but only the low beams.
ive tracked the wiring to a box on the front left guard under the bonnet that seems to be a regulator of sorts for the high and low beams. i test positive for power going into both low and high beams, but only coming out for high beams....
the unit seems quite old and corroded, so i was looking at replacing it, but most people just give me a strange look and tell me they have never heard of such a thing.
The box itself is black, is about 5cm long, 5cm high and 3-4cms deep. It has on the front, "imgrams 12V 30A 832212"
it has 2 wire connectors on the top each marked 'L' and 3 on the bottom, the middle marked 'B' the right marked 'S' the left is rubbed off so i cant see it.
Any idea what this is, where i can get a replacement?
thanks

its a generic headlight relay box, most of the ones i've seen have "new age" written on them, have a chat with your local friendly auto electrician and he'll sort you out

Not an original fitting, but a worthwhile improvement. Note that some of these headlight relay units have a fuse inside them, so, assuming it has a removable lid, it might be worth having a look inside!
