New firmware has been released. Version 2.04

The firmware includes the ACE package so for those with ACE can now check, repair and service without going to your favourite service centre.

It also fixes a few minor bugs in the Valeo Body Contol.

Hey Feral

Do you know if it fixes the problem with the chimes when turning the key? It has the same setting twice and if you select one you cant put it back to silent...

Which Chimes?

There are two...one for keys left in ignition and the other is the reminder to put your seat belt on.

They can be turned off/on now. They can be selected individually through the Valeo BCU settings page.

This has been posted before but I found this to be the best reference to all the settings and for the usage with the Nanocom.

Its the belt reminder I think. When you get in and insert the key and turn ignition it chimes 5 times. Never used to do this until I fiddled with it... :D Now I cant turn it off!!

Anyone else have trouble downloading the latest firmware? Mine seems to be hanging half way through. Thought it was tehe latest firmware 2.04 that was corrupt or something so I tried a later version. It took ages to update but did eventually. Maybe I need to just leave the 2.04 version to see if it updates...

Yeh, I had trouble as well. I dont have SLS, so Ive just left it. Might try again. I thought it might just have been my PC.

Thanks Dave,
I have 2.00 firmware and haven't come across any problems yet. I only tried the down load once and my PC froze. Ive got something going on in the back ground of my PC and once I work out what that is Ill try again. Thanks for your kind offer, Ill let you know if I need it.
Peter.

Baz,

Yes it's from the Nanocom site.

Pretty sure by memory for firmware you need to access through the restricted area:

:: Area Riservata - Nanocom :: (http://web.nanocom.it/riservata_i.cfm)

You would have got some logon details when you first registered your Nanocom.

Cheers, Mark

Hi Forget the V2.04 and go for the V2.05
There are a few bugs fixed in the new one, injectoir coding, some SLS fixes, and wheel sensor readings,
Can save a lot of time and head-scratching experience.
Cheers

Hi dave
When you start to play around with the nanocom you will see a few spelling mistakes or double entries "look in DISCO ABS SLS > Utility "here you have two front right tests instead of one left & one right..
I heard Mattia from Nanocom and he explained that to develop a new firmware with the spelling mistakes takes up a lot of time, so they came up with language pack which is quicker and easier and can be personalised.
Best Regards

check the usb port that the pc reconize's by thgis i mean Right click on "my Computer" then select "properties" then go on Hardware then hardware settings > Ports when you look at the list you should see the nanocom with the assigned port, this you must enter in the main Nanocom Giu on the top of the screen beside the question mark. IT'S IMPORTANT that they match when making any download.
Hope this has been clear
let me know how it goes
Cheers

In addition to the latest firmware (2.05) also download and install the latest PC software. You will end up with the desktop icon label "NanocomNew". It includes an upgrade so that you don't have to select the COM port number . With "Com Setting" set to USB the "COM port" is now able to be selected automatically as for any other USB device. (If you have a later model Nanocom with the USB rather than the RS-232 serial cable connection.)
