I have a 2002 Disco 2A fitted with a ARB bar that does not have the opening for a winch.
Has anyone modified and made a winch fit to a non winch bar?
How difficult would it be?

I have recently installed a Tigerz11 12,000 ld winch in a ARB non-winch bar, started by cutting out the lowing middle section and welding in a 6mm plate to mount the winch. Cut hole in the top to access the gear switch and fairlead rollers. Works well!

You can get winch trays that mount the winch in the rails not on the actual bar. I have help fit winches with in this style to several vehicles with non winch bars. A search found the following file with pictures to show what I mean.

You will just need to mount the rollers to the bar.
