Yep Coffs Harbour is under water in major flood, many people are strandard and can't get home.
We are lucky to live on a hill, so we are fine:D
The radio said to stay in doors and don't venture out in it, so what did we do....ventured out in it in the county.
We wanted to go check out a mates place south of us.
First we tried the back way along the bush tracks, the whole road was water and the first creek crossing was pretty hairy (fast flowing and pretty deep:o)
I'll post some vids up soon;)

Yikes - lucky I got in and out last week.
I got dumped on by about an inch of rain in 30 minutes just after arriving. Being a Melbourne lad, I had forgotten what real rain is.:o:eek:
Hope you're on a big hill Tim, it looks like more rain on the way.

Hey Tim,
Do you have any contacts in Glenreagh? Have not heard from Dad tonight which is unusual, phone is off. If you know anyone over the hill give them a bell for me and make sure we do not need to head down with a boat ;)

Thanks guys!!!
The creek crossing we crossed in the county was pretty safe when you think about, my brother walked it first...

The creek crossing after this one was flowing alot faster and about 1/3 deeper, so we weren't going to risk it.

Not the oly place either under water or about to be. Pretty much the whole Northern Rivers, by the looks. And I am driving to Nambucca Heads on Friday! Should have gone down by then, but I hope the room I have booked is not too soggy!

Mmmmmm the RSPCA could be a worry, they are located in a bit of a swamp near the airport, they might well be very flooded, i might be heading to that area tomorrow, if so i'll let you know;)

I cant stop to amazed with this land of mutants, fire and floods at the same time, but 110mm in 1 hour amazing when you think about it. Hope no one has been caught out, I think there has been too much of that this year.

Just been speaking with the olds who are in Nana Glen and they said Bucca creek (which is their north and west boundry) is still rising very quickly. They are about 1km from where it meets the Orara and have already moved the cattle etc ready for a big one with still more to come.

Do you have a clip of the County going through the crossing?
The rain is getting pretty serious here in newy as well has been going solid since lunch might be another flood like the June floods of 07...
Ahh well there are some places around my joint which flood pretty quickly but i love taking the disco down through the crossings for some fun...only bad part is my left headlight appears to of taken some water in it as it fogs up...So whilst on the topic would i be best to take it off leave it in the sun to dry...maybe add some metho to help it dry up?

Got two more vids, but it got a bit dark so you can pretty much only hear the county going through:angel:
I'll post them anyway;)
The first crossing.
