As you know there have been a lot of snake oil fuel saving ideas around over the years, like pellet, Hiclones and the like. All of which are snake oil.
But here is one that actually works. And can be taken form one vehicle and fitted into another. Works on Perol, LPG, Diesel, Biofuel.
Save fuel.Fits any vehicle.Made from recycled material. on eBay, also Injection Fuel Systems, Performance Tuning Parts, Car Tuning Styling, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 02-Apr-09 11:35:57 BST) (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=370177684107&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fshop.ebay.co.uk%3A80%2F%3F_from%3D R40%26_trksid%3Dp3907.m38.l1313%26_nkw%3D370177684 107%26_sacat%3DSee-All-Categories%26_fvi%3D1&_rdc=1):eek::eek::eek:

Don't laugh. Quote from my 2a Owner's Handbook:-

"On 88 models there is an additional spring inserted in the accelerator linkage. This allows the accelerator to be pressed down with normal pressure for about three quarters of its travel, thereafter higher pressure is required for the rest of the travel.

This device results in considerably improved fuel consumption,"

I think the postage is a bit high to Australia. :(

Might have a go at making one myself. It might not be as good as the professional product, but it should work ok. :D

Now, where did I put that chainsaw...

I will have to get one for the Disco,it may also slow down the handbrake.

Now if it slid across & got stuck under the brake pedal, that would be interesting:eek::eek:

scarry, I think you will find a brake pad saving device coming on the market soon too. Don't be tempted to swap the fuel saver as a brake saver they are not interchangeable and you risk voiding your warranty.

I believe they may even have matching sets too.

I have also hear a rumour that they are working on a larger version to be used externally - the Hand Brake Saver.:D
